● Detective GP and the “Login Failure Case”

In May, I installed several plugins to add new features to the site and improve its loading speed.

Plugins are tools that allow you to add various functions to WordPress.

However, while installing and configuring several plugins, I somehow ended up locking myself, the site administrator, out of the WordPress admin screen!

“Wait… why can’t I log in?!”

I was pretty worried.

So I started investigating the cause together with GP (ChatGPT) and Jamy (Gemini). It seemed that the problem was caused by security mechanisms interfering with the plugins.

From there, we gradually narrowed down the “suspects” (bugs), just like detectives solving a mystery.

After struggling with it for several hours, I finally managed to log in again!

Another “case” also occurred when the language-switching buttons that are normally used throughout the site stopped displaying correctly.

Once again, GP and Jamy became like detectives, checking whether this part or that part might be causing the problem and figuring out the bugs one by one.

Eventually, they solved the case!

Creating something new is certainly satisfying, but I realized that fixing a problem also comes with a strange sense of accomplishment—along with relief and exhaustion. (Haha.)

I would rather not experience that kind of accomplishment too often, but I hope to stay calm and deal with unexpected problems when they happen. 😅
