● Focusing on Video Production in September
I made my first YouTube post on June 28, but for quite a while, the number of subscribers hardly increased. I was worried that if things continued this way, I would end up in the “dead air” state I had feared when I first started posting videos. So in September, I focused more on video production than on creating new content for the website.
Since I didn't know what kinds of videos people would watch, I decided to post as many videos as I could and strengthen the themes and video formats that received a good response. At first, I focused on sharing my “real-life challenges as a creator,” but since I wasn't known in the first place, it didn't work very well.
So I decided to make videos that even people who didn't know “Molda Molki” would want to watch. I thought that if the videos were short and easy to watch, people might click on them just to see what they were like. That's when I started making short animations. This became the “Axolotl Dog” series.
I wanted to create a reason for someone to click, like, “I don't really know what this is, but it's kind of cute, so I'll check it out.” When I posted the Shorts, they received a good response, so I decided to make this short-animation style one of the pillars of my channel. After creating several short animations, the number of subscribers gradually began to increase. Short animations are currently the videos that receive the best response on my channel, so I would like to continue making them.
However, a new challenge emerged. The short animations would get views on Shorts, but after a few days, the views would stop. If I don't create videos that continue to be watched over time, my exposure and reach to new viewers will stop unless I keep making new videos. I felt that I needed to do something about this, so I decided to create “search-focused videos”—videos that appear when people search and respond to what people are looking for.
In this way, September was a month when I was looking at the data, wondering what kind of content I should create, and trying new things along the way. The numbers are still small, but I would like to gradually find my own “formula for success.”
